A unique fact: Nepal's flag

The current national flag of Nepal was officially adopted on 16 December 1962.  It is going to be 63 years old in June 2026. However, Nepal has used the distinctive double-triangular design for much longer; historical versions of the flag date back centuries, and similar forms have been used since the 18th century, when Nepal was united. The fact that Nepal's flag is the only national flag in the world that is not rectangular is a unique fact.
