 Kathmandu.  Despite fire, vandalism, and looting in many of its stores during the mass protest, Bhatbhateni supermarket has reported that no employees have been fired. According to the company, employees from the affected branch were reassigned to other operating branches while the stores were being reconstructed during the movement.  The business has stated that the employment of more than 10,000 employees is safe in this manner.

According to Bhatbhateni, one of the company's top priorities, alongside reconstruction, is the preservation of employees. The company claims that restoration work has begun to return the business to normal operations and provide regular customer service. Earlier, many branches of Bhatbhateni across the country were set on fire, vandalized, and looted during the public protest.  The company claims that infrastructure and goods worth billions of rupees were destroyed, and dozens of branches sustained significant physical and financial damage.

However, many have taken the decision not to make employee cuts as an example of positive management.  According to the company, the affected employees are still receiving salaries, facilities, and employment, and have been managed in other branches. As the reconstruction is completed, the damaged branches are gradually being restored to operation. The company says it will put customer service and employee safety as top priorities in the coming days as well.
