Are venomous snakes really harmless if you don't provoke them?


A 28-year-old Indian man wanted to demonstrate precisely that. And he succeeded impressively.

 Neelam Kumar Khaire spent 72 hours with special companions in a glass cabin. There were 27 monocell cobras, 24 Russell vipers, 9 binocell cobras, 8 banded kraits, and 4 other snakes.

 Khaire wanted to educate the public that snakes don't attack unless provoked.  That was in 1986.

 He didn't understand why people had tried to persuade him that snakes were so dangerous, even when he was a child. He already owned a small snake collection and then read a report about the world record for removing hair from venomous snakes.  At the time, it took 50 hours.


He decided to break this record.

 And so he sat in a glass house with all those snakes.  He was thought to be insane by some. He often has to remove them from his body when they crawl onto him.

 He stayed there with 72 snakes for 72 hours.

 So far, no one has broken his record.


He is now a zoologist, owns 160 snakes, and has written four books about snakes.

As stated previously, the dog biting cannot be cured here. Rabies-infected dog bites can be fatal if not vaccinated on time.  Because of this, these dogs require proper management.
