The worship method performed by the priest/bhikkhus of Pashupatinath...

Before understanding this topic, let us know that

 There are 1131 branches of the 4 "Vedas".

 Atharvaveda - 9

Samaveda - 1000

Yajurveda - 101

 Rigveda - 21

Total = 1131.

 The "Taittiriya" or "Krishna Yajurveda" branch of the Vedas is responsible for the worship method that is currently being practiced or is being practiced in Pashupatinath. Only people of this "Taittiriya" branch worship Pashupatinath (priests); other branches do not or are not allowed to do so.  The fact that the "Taittiriya" branch of the Vedas is not the entire text is crucial. What is this "Taittiriya" branch?

 Once, the great sage Vaishampayan gave all the teachings and knowledge to his disciple, sage Yajnavalkya.  Guru Vaishampayan asked his disciple Yajnavalkya to return the knowledge he had given after the Guru was dissatisfied with some aspects. Yajnavalkya returned the knowledge he had received to Guru Vaishampayan.  Yajnavalkya took the knowledge from Surya and started a different Vedic stream, which was called "Shukla Yajurveda".  On the other hand, Guru Vaishampayan's other disciples drank the knowledge of the returned Vedas by becoming "Titra Chara".  The "Taittiriya" branch of the Vedas emerged from that. It is considered the highest Veda.  This "Taittiriya" branch worships at Pashupatinath; therefore, there is no worship in Pashupatinath that represents the four Vedas.

 Yajurveda has Krishna (Taittiriya) and Shukla (Madhyamandiniya).  Some Indians claim that Shukla Yajurveda is purely ritualistic and does not contain Tantra, whereas other scholars disagree and claim that Krishna Yajurveda is related to Tantra. Tantra is a broad field; its origin is Mahadev, and the audience is Parvati.

 Brahmins who study the Shukla Yajurveda branch of Krishna Yajurveda are also Tantric and worship the Shree Yantra, but only Trilinga Dravidian Brahmins are considered worthy.
