"Do you really think your expectation is justified?"

Lately, I've been noticing a trend that's honestly worrying.

Although the job description states that the salary range for many companies' openings is between $15,000 and 20,000, Meta Ads

 - Google Ads

 - SEO

 - Graphic Design

 - Video Editing

 - Website Development

 - Social Media Management

 - Content Creation

And on top of that, you're expected to handle 2–3 brands at the same time.

That isn't one role.  That's an entire digital marketing team.

The same thing happens with ad budgets.

Meta Ads isn't a magic button; I've seen businesses expect high-quality leads and sales with a daily budget of $200 to $300 and a large audience. It needs the right strategy, strong creatives, testing, optimization, and a realistic budget.  No media buyer can consistently deliver big results if the expectations and investment don't match.

Then, after months of handling everything and delivering results, when someone asks for a salary hike, they're told:

"Do you really think your expectation is justified?"

 Maybe the better question is:

Is it reasonable to expect a single individual to manage multiple brands, work with six specialists, and produce exceptional results with an unrealistic advertising budget? This isn't about complaining.  It's about setting realistic expectations... for both employers and professionals.

Good marketing isn't cheap, and cheap marketing rarely delivers great results.

I'd genuinely love to hear both sides.  What's been your experience?
